Maggie Albers, MS, LPC

Owner & Creator of Wellness Lane Counseling

Hi! I’m Maggie

I’m so glad you’re here.

Before I tell you a bit about myself, I’d like to start with some of my core beliefs regarding the therapeutic process, and life in general. I think these beliefs guide the work that I do and I hope they give you more of an idea of who I am.

  • I believe that people make the best decisions they can with the current information they have. Once we know better we do better and until then, we are all doing the best we can.

  • I believe that long-lasting change happens in small, subtle shifts… sometimes so subtle you don’t recognize it and need someone else to point it out for you.

  • I believe that every single person needs meaningful connection with others. Yes, even those of us that identify as introverts. :)

  • I believe that life can get really messy sometimes and in the midst of messiness you may need someone to listen and support you, with no judgment.

  • I believe that every single person has “stuff” that they’re working through or wish was different about themselves or their life. Being kind and supportive of others (and yourself) will make some of that stuff a bit easier to manage.

  • I believe that multiple things can be true at once and life is not as black and white as we sometimes make it out to be. You can want your life to improve, while loving the life you currently live.

I’ve been a Licensed Professional Counselor for five years and have been working in the mental health field for about eight. I’ve worked in a variety of settings including: community behavioral health centers, private practice, and college campuses. Currently, I see individual clients as well as adjunct college courses part-time. I consider myself to be a lifelong learner so staying involved in both the therapy and teaching worlds helps me to fill that love for learning in so many ways.

I’ve worked with clients of all ages, from many different backgrounds and walks of life. My current clinical focus is aimed at supporting adults who are struggling with stress, anxiety, and life transitions.

If these things sound like a good fit for you, please reach out. I’d love to help.
